About

Bio

I’m a Slavic-Australian writer. My parents fled the tyranny of Stalin and Hitler as WWII refugees. I was taken from my mother at birth under Australia’s shameful forced adoption policy.

With a life canvas of trauma, early on I dabbled in the colours of perfectionism, self-loathing, addiction, anorexia, depression, and anxiety. More recently, my life colours are empathy, curiosity, creativity, story, identity, and mastery.

Writing is my main form of expression, but I also enjoy improvised comedy and acting. I live on Yugambeh country in Queensland with my partner, the occasional koala and a mob of kangaroos that have made our back paddock their home.
